About Kickavaggio and Co.

My name is Pete but mainly known as "Kickavaggio" on Instagram. I work with 1 other person on all of my design projects and right now, we are a small online sneaker shop located in Freehold, NJ. We sell merchandise but mainly customize sneakers with any design that comes to mind wether it be by us or the customer. I have been doing sneaker artwork for about 3 years now and it's a passion of mine. Sneakers and Art was always my thing since I was a little kid.

I was always sketching in school and I've always enjoyed doing it.  Desks, notebooks, school bus seats, you name it. Didn't matter what it was. If it had a surface, I was drawing on it.

Fast forward 15 years now from that kid on the school bus drawing Pokemon on the seats. I've met the love of my life and I find myself in a lot of pain from growths on my tailbone to find out I need to have them surgically removed. During my healing process, I get laid off from my job and I'm thinking to myself, "What the heck am I going to do now?" As time is passing looking for work while I'm still healing, I try to take my mind off things; doing the laundry, cleaning the house, doing some dishes, the whole 9 yards and I see my sneakers.

My sneakers were always spotless, I take pride in my sneakers weather they're Jordans from $180+ down to my chucks for $49.99. I wanted to stand out while going out for the night with the guys, or going out to lunch/dinner with my girl. I finish my first pair and I'm stoked. I'm thinking "Jordan brand don't make them like this. Some are nice and some are just god awful." They were an AJ1 Mid. Tan base with Gold accents and Dark brown tongue liner.  I called them the AJ1 Pyramids. Thought it was catchy.

So now, my first pair is finished and I wear em' to my friends house and he loves them, so much that he wants a pair for himself. So I make them and he's getting positive responses too, left and right. That's how "Kickavaggio" all started, just changing up my look and seeing people with positive responses to them.
